Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Joined, low-seat oak kitchen chair; two uprights, rounded at top, large interval between the back top rail and lower cross rail with lower rail slightly curved; the right upright has been repaired using a metal strip nailed to back; 2-plank seat nailed and screwed to frame; the front section has since split into three parts which are loose; at base of seat, on four sides are wrought iron rods joined with tension bolts in each corner (probably added after use, to strengthen the structure); square back legs with slight sweep to bottom, front legs have slight taper to profile; front and back feet (on left side) connected by a wooden rail, slightly curved although not a rocker; right rail is missing. This would have made the chair studier on an uneven floor.
