Pardoe, Thomas (1770-1823)
Oval-shaped sugar boat, greyish blue hard-paste porcelain body, moulded mask and ring handles, sides with broad band of underglaze blue ground, Four kidney shaped reserves, two painted with flowers, one with two puce birds and one with a landscape, gilt borders and typical Pardoe star embelishments, running trefoil pattern in gilt on shoulders. Cover with an oval knop, similar decoration of a bullfinch, shells, a landscape and violets in four reserves on the blue ground. Final restuck
