Teacup, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a straight-sided tapering foot-rim, high gently curving sides with spiral fluting, the lip-rim waved, loop handle with an inner spur to the lower handle; to the exterior side of the cup opposite the handle a painted landscape in greens and browns showing a small figure standing on rocks looking iver a waterfall against a background of hills and trees, the scene enclosed within a star-like gilt cartouche, the rest of the exterior sides painted with scattered cornflowers (known as Angoulême sprigs) in blue, red and green, and with scattered gilt stars, a gilt band to the foot-rim, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, the handle painted in gilt.
