Child's chair

Jenkins, David (maker)

Child’s chair made by David Jenkins (1818-90), Blaenwaun Ganol, Llanwnnen, Cardiganshire. In the 1851 census David Jenkins was 33 years old and a farmer of 167 acres. The chair was probably made for his eldest son – John, who was 4 in 1851 and Evan, who was only 2 months.
