Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Earthenware cup and saucer; saucer with footring, well and broad flat rim; wide cup with foot rim, and angular loop handle. Honey coloured glaze. Cup and saucer painted with large daisy/ sunflower like flowers in orange, smoke brown, yellow, purple brown and green. Saucer painted with three flowers: rim painted with one half orange/yellow flower, yellow centre with a band of brown dots round, with a pale brown tripartite leaf, opposite rim painted with an almost complete darker orange/brown flower, orange centre ringed with green enamel dots, pale brown stalk and leaf; cavetto painted with a yellow petalled bell shaped flower (by second flower), brown centre, pale brown stalks and two leaves. Exterior of cup painted with two part flowers next side by side under the rim: left hand flower bright yellow, orange/yellow centre ringed with green dots, right hand flower orange brown petals, deep brown centre; both with long thin pale brown leaves. One sprig of brown leaves and stalk on opposite side of cup. Cup interior painted under rim opposite the exterior flowers with half an orange/yellow flower, yellow centre ringed with brown dots. Flat upper part of handle painted mid brown.
