Cup, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading foot, the lower body with short concave sides, the upper body with flaring concave sides, plain loop handle; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides of the cup a coastal scene showing in the foreground a beach with small figures and a boat pulled up on it, in the background across an expanse of water with small boats, a large island composed of a single hill with a castle-like building to the top of it, belwo the scene is the inscription "MICHAEL'S MOUNT CORNWALL.", two black bands to the interior rim and interior sides of the cup, black markings to the handle.
