Black Challenge Disabled football team practice - Accara, Ghana
Chris STEELE-PERKINS
(Photographer)
The Black Challenge are Ghana’s national amputee football team, photographed here during a training session. This image challenges dominant narratives around disability in an attempt to provoke a more nuanced conversation around the subject. It also urges us to reflect on our understanding of the relationship between masculinity and physicality.
