Plate, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a foot rim curving into straight spreading sides; decorated with set pattern 164; transfer-printed and filled in enamels with the Mandarin pattern, in the 'famille rose' palette - a village scene of a seated mandarin and others in front of an oriental house; a gilt scrolled border with small cartouches of landscapes in iron red alternating with larger cartouches of birds perched on branches, against a grey blue sky, above purple trees.
