Cup, cabinet
Cabinet cup, soft-paste 'trident' porcelain with an orange, earthy translucency; cylindrical shape with flared lip ( three paw feet missing ); high scroll handle closed above the rim and centred by a patera and terminating with a mask; painted in polychrome enamels with an octagonal cartouche of a landscape, with a river winding through hills, and a sail boat and figure in the foreground, on a Rose Du Barri stippled ground; gilt band to base and lip; gilt handle, gilt leaf pattern inside lip.
