Jug, grey stoneware, standing on a spreading pie-crust moulded foot, ovoid body with pronounced throwing rings to lower body, the neck cylindrical and wide with a banded appearance with cordon at shoulder; strap handle; the handle and neck warped giving the whole object a tilted appearance; the exterior covered with an iron-brown wash and a light salt glaze giving a freckled appearance, the colouration uneven and very thin in patches exposing the grey stoneware body; extensive plaster restoration to the foot and to the neck rim.
