Heart shaped 'sweetheart' pincushion covered with red and dark blue satin, and filled with sawdust. Decorated with glass pins and woven silk panels. The central panel is inscribed with a verse: 'THINK OF ME / WHEN THE GOLDEN SUN IS SINKING / AND YOUR MIND FROM CARE SET FREE / WHEN OF OTHERS YOU ARE THINKING / WILL YOU SOMETIMES THINK OF ME'. Trimmed with a peach coloured woollen braid. Maker unknown. Sent in a box marked 'With Love' to Miss Elen Burns of Rhymney, Monmouthshire.
