Fire dog
One of a pair of fire dogs (with 31.280.1). Made and used at Wenvoe.
Blacksmiths made items for the home and although for everyday use, the objects were often beautiful and decorative. Blacksmiths added extra flourishes to show off their skills.
Roedd y gof yn creu nwyddau ar gyfer y cartref ac er mai nwyddau bob dydd oedden nhw, roedden nhw’n aml yn hardd iawn. Roedd y gof yn hoffi ychwanegu addurn i ddangos ei ddoniau.
