Illuminated Commemorative Testimonial Album presented to J.W.M. Batters, Chairman of Point of Ayr Collieries Ltd., 1936.
The album was presented by management, commercial staff and all other employees of the Point of Ayr Collieries Ltd. to J.W.M. Batters, Chairman 1908-1936, on the occasion of his retirement. Subscribers section is divided into management and commercial staff plus members of the presentation committee and collectors, surface employees and underground employees. Employees with 35, 40, 45 & 50 years and over service are identified together with dates of commencement of employment. The red crosses indicate multiples of 10 years service.
