Built 1915 as WELSH COAST by Chas. Hill, Bristol, for Powell, Bacon & Hough (restyled as Coast Lines Ltd from 1917). 1920 – Chartered to City of Cork Steam Packet Co., and renamed MACROOM. 1922 – Returned to Coast Lines Ltd., and renamed WELSH COAST. 1936 – Sold to Kyle Steamship Co. (Monroe Brothers), and renamed KYLEGLEN. 1937 – Sold to Bristol Steam Navigation Co, and renamed MELITO. 1950 – Sold to Fairwood Shipping & Trading Co., Swansea, and renamed FAIRWOOD OAK, managed by Stockwood, Rees. 1955 – Sold to Holderness Steamship Co., Hull, and renamed HOLDERVALE.
