Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Mug, earthenware, pedestal foot, waisted sides, double scroll handle with leaf-moulded back, transfer-printed in purple on both sides with a bust portrait of the young Queen Victoria, the side opposite the handle inscribed 'VICTORIA REGINA ' to either side of a crown and 'Born 24th of May 1819. / Proclaimed 20th of June 1837. / Crowned 28th of June 1838.' below, above an arrangement of roses, shamrocks and thistles; border inside rim of scrolls on a granulated ground.
