Medieval ceramic floor tile
Lewis Group 20 no.257
Stamp-on slip. Fragment of rectangular tile, deeply scored for division before firing; each square division has a Lombardic-style character (a cross formy, A and E) set diagonally in a rectangular frame.
This tile is not noted in Lewis but the design imatches the Lombardic 'E' as per no. 257.
