Jug, wheel thrown with moulded and applied lip and handle, grey tinged soft paste porcelain, round bellied, straight neck, triangular lip the lower part a leaf moulding, triangular shaped handle, each end spreading to a moulded leaf where it joins the body. Each side painted with an oval panel scene in monochrome pink: one a view of Nottingham Castle from the bottom of a cliff,enclosed in a double gilded band surrounded by sheafs of corn and leaves; the other (Sherwood Forest) a view of wooded pasture in a broken oval of gilt sheafs and leaves? Gilt monogram TP (?) surrounded by gilt leaf sprays under lip. Band of gilt stars and orange and gilt leaves around the neck, gilt band delineating shoulder and handle, gilt leaves running along back of handle, gilt feathering on rim of lip and delineating leaf mouldings.
