Ceramic doll with brown glass eyes and brown hair. Wearing a black hat with red ribbon, a black fabric scarf, a white shirt with gathered sleeves, a blue 3/4 length dress with red lacing across the chest, and a brown, pink, green and blue decorated apron tied around the waist with a red bow at the front. A white underskirt with brown and green flower design, white cotton stockings and brown shoes held on with pins. Around the proper right wrist is a grey cord with a label attached reading " Jeune fille de Schaffouse" on reverse "a girl from Schaffhausen Switzerland"
