Vase, soft-paste 'trident' porcelain, thickly potted with a yellowish translucency and a greyish tinge to the glaze, which is pitted in the usual manner; urn-shaped with a shallow flanged foot and slender stem, moulded with two small ram's head handles below the shoulders, and spreading to a thick everted lip; decorated on each side with a transfer-print comprising a seated Chinese figure, surrounded by five standing figures of attendants within a landscape of buildings and trees, including a river with European style houses in the background, all overpainted in blue, green, red, purple, brown, orange, grey and black enamels, band of gilt leaves at the shoulders, handles gilded, foot and lip partly gilded.
