Coffee pot, white earthenware, standing on a wide shallow foot, high bulbous fluted sides with concave neck and flaring lip-rim, curving slightly fluted spout, scroll handle with raised thumb-spur, high domed cover with fluted sides, to the top of the cover a finial modelled in the form of a flower head, now mostly broken off; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the 'Water Nymph' pattern, to either side of the body of the coffee pot large sprays of flowers and foliage, smaller sprays to the spout and handle, a wreath of flowers and foliage around the sides of the cover, around the foot-rim, lip-rim and the rim of the cover a ropework band issuing leaves.
