Recommendation letter for David Jones of New Quay
Handwritten details in black ink on cream paper. Letter headed 'Turnbull Brothers, Steam Ship Brokers & Owners.' Recommendation letter certifying that David Jones had served on board the S.S. BERNARD, S.S. NETHERGATE and the S.S. NORTHGATE, dated May 18, 1904.
The S.S. BERNARD was built in 1884 for Turnbull Bros., Cardiff by Thomas Turnbull of Whitby and sold to Norwegian owners in 1899. Cafodd yr S.S. BERNARD ei hadeiladu ym 1884 ar gyfer y brodyr Turnbull, Caerdydd gan Thomas Turnbull o Whitby, a'i gwerthu i berchnogion Norwyaidd ym 1899.
