This 6th century inscription originally formed the lintel of the Beast-house on the west side of the road from Brecon to Merthyr in a farm where the road crossed the Nant Car brook. It was moved to the garden of Mr Charles Wilkins of Merthyr Tydfil sometime before 1885 presumably where this photograph was taken. It is now in St Tydfil's Church.
