Roman letter and Ogam inscribed stone, Eglwys Gymyn church, Pendine, Carmarthenshire
This late 5th - early 6th century stone commemorates Avitoria, daughter of Cunagnus. It was found c.1855 during church restoration and re-discovered c.1880 in the churchyard acting as a step and deposited in the chancel. Prior to 1901 it was found in the Vicarage Garden. In this image it appears to have been photographed inside the Church.
