This late 10th - early 11th century cross-shaft was also known as Carreg Fedyddiol or the stone of Baptism. Until 1968 it stood near a spring at Caer Ffynnon near the river Ogwr. It is now housed in Margam Stones Museum. Amgueddfa Cymru has a cast of the stone in its collection.
