First recorded in a field known as Kae r Maen (field of the stone) on the banks of the Afon Sannan, the cross-shaft moved to the grounds of Golden Grove in the 1850s and was donated to Amgueddfa Cymru in 1929. This photograph is of the stone in the lower garden in Golden Grove.
