The Fair Oak tree (Quercus Sp.) with male figure at foot of tree, Roath park, Cardiff, 1890

This ancient 'Fair Oak' tree was planted near the Ty Draw Road/Fairoak Road junction in Roath, Cardiff. It died in 1925 but the stump remained. In the 1990s the tree was commemorated with a plaque and a new oak tree was planted nearby.
