Durmast Oak tree (Quercus petraea (Mattuschka) Liebl.) in summer, Wyesham, 1935

The Wyesham Oak, reputed to date as far back as the 11th century, collapsed in 2010. The remains of the tree still stand, although much smaller and heavily pollarded.
