Two Cross Heads, St Teilo's Church, Llandeilo Fawr, Carmarthenshire

These 9th century cross heads were found in the 19th century. The top one was found c. 1850, later being deposited inside the Church. The lower one was dug up c. 1893 outside the Churchyard near the Church street entrance and lay for some years at the base of the tower. This photograph has been taken inside the Church, suggesting that the stones had been removed to this location before 1917 (the first mention of them in this position).
