The S.S. BLUE JACKET was completed in 1904 by J.L. Thompson and Son of Sunderland for George Hallett of Cardiff. She was sold to a Tyneside Shipping Company in 1915 and renamed TYNEMEDE.

This was the ship of which my Great Grandfather was master. My Great Aunt Mari lent an oil painting of it to the Aberystwyth musuem where it still languishes.
