The IS Pontypridd (built 1883 in Blyth, sunk 1917) is listed as a Morel ship in Appendix 1 of the book on "Morels of Cardiff" written by John Morel Gibbs (my father. If "Daisy" who contacted the NMW in May 2014 would like to follow up this e-mail, I can provide additional information.

Dear Daisy,
I'm afraid that we have no record of the artist called Roger Adams in our database. If you'd like to know more about the ship or the Morel brothers, I can pass your enquiry on to one of our curators.

I have an original watercolour of the SS Pontypridd by an artist called Roger Adams.
On the back it has the Mabel Brothers, but on closer inspection it is the Morel brothers.

Can anyone tell me it's history?
