This vessel was built by Thomas Turnbull & Son of Whitby in 1877 for Pyman Brothers of Cardiff. In 1907 she was sold to Frederick Jones of Cardiff becoming the first vessel of the well-known Abbey Line. She was wrecked off the Breton coast in 1909, though all her crew were saved.
