This vessel was completed at South Shields in 1888 as HARPERLY for London owners. In 1890 she was bought by John Mathias & Sons of Aberystwyth, who operated her in the tramping trades out of Cardiff. She was wrecked off Cape Rizzuto,Italy on 14 Feb. 1905 whilst bound from Penarth to Venice with a cargo of coal.
