Yes, this work was exhibited at The Royal Academy in 1841.
As you say it is No. 664 "Scene on the Taff Railway, Glamorgan". It was exhibited along with No. 973 "Scene on the Taff Railway, Glamorgan; viaduct erected by George Bush" which we believe is a work we have recently acquired.

Could I ask what the provenance is of this work? Is it the same work that is listed in 'The Royal Academy of Arts; a complete dictionary of contributors and their work from its foundation in 1769 to 1904'; 1841. 664 Scene on the Taff Railway, Glamorgan.
