The photograph is very interesting from the point of view of the technical history of iron making. It shows slag casting arrangements - possibly newly installed or experimental - at the two Victoria blast furnaces at the southern end of the Ebbw Vale Works.

hi, my dad was les davies he worked in the 5 stand on the over head cranes there,i was in the cold mill i was a packer packing tinplate,i found a very old paintting of the steelworks and the man who painted maed a story on the back of the painting, thank you.
