Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales welcomes five new Board members

Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales is welcoming five new trustees to its board to help drive forward its work for the next few years.

The five trustees, two of whom are appointed by Welsh Government and three by Amgueddfa Cymru, will serve for a period of four years.

Kate Eden, Chair of Amgueddfa Cymru, said,

“I am delighted to welcome the new trustees, whose wealth of experience in many sectors of society will help us shape Amgueddfa Cymru’s direction for the future.” 

The new trustees are: 

Llion Iwan – Llion joined Welsh indie Cwmni Da in 2019 as Director of Content and took over as Managing Director in 2021.

Daniel Richards – Born and raised in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, Daniel attended Cowbridge School prior to reading Law at Cambridge University. Daniel has 25 years' experience as a business lawyer working on international transactions in the UK and Europe. 

Dr Emma Yhnell - a passionate and multi award-winning educator, science communicator and Senior Lecturer based in the School of Biosciences at Cardiff University. 

Jan Williams OBE – Jan Williams has senior leadership experience across the whole healthcare system in Wales, with a strong track record in organisational leadership and development, in improvement science and in the fields of investigation, inspection and regulation as they relate to generating improvements in policy and practice.

David Aled Jones - Dave Jones, who has worked as an environmental regulator for 20 years, is a Senior Specialist Advisor at Natural Resources Wales. He is responsible for developing policy and guidance for the management and protection of groundwater in Wales.
