Festival of Archaeology: A Day Out at the Market
Come and celebrate Festival of Archaeology and join us for a day out at a Roman Market.
Have a go at grinding grain, making bread, shopping at the market and playing Roman games – watch out for Marcus though, he cheats!
We’ll also have some geophysics going on in our neighbouring school, Charles Williams Primary, to celebrate their 300th anniversary.
The school, which is opposite the museum, stands right in the heart of the Roman fortress. The geophysics will give a fascinating glimpse of what lies underneath the surface.
Making bread is Pay What You Can with a minimum donation of £1.
