Event:The Big Museum Winter Trail
Pop in during December for our festive feel-good family trail.
Find the Museum Elves to help complete the snow friend, then take it home to transform into a decoration to top your tree.
...Please note that St Fagans will be closed from 2pm on Friday 23 December, so we advise that you arrive by 12 noon in order to complete the activity...

Trails will be available at the Museum reception desk on arrival, or you are welcome to pre-book your trail here - The Big Museum Winter Trail
Extra Information
Language - Trails are bilingual.
Age - Suitable for age 4+ , younger children may need help.
Cost - Cost includes one trail with one reward. You are welcome to complete one as a family or buy one for each person.
The trail is available at all our Amguedddfa Cymru sites and is the same at each site :
National Museum Cardiff, St Fagans National Museum of History, National Waterfront Museum, Big Pit National Coal Museum, National Wool Museum, National Roman Legion Museum.
Where possible, we have used eco-friendly display materials and will use these again.

Opening Hours
Our opening hours are changing for the winter season.
From 4 November until 28 February 2025, we will be open 10am-4pm every day.
Opening hours will be different for our Christmas events – see the event pages on our website for details.
Parking
If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop
- Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit.
- The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
