Amguedddfa Cymru – Museum Wales, is actively building up an LGBTQ+ collection of objects, documents, photographs and oral histories to fully represent all aspects of Welsh LGBTQ+ history and lived experience.

 
As part of LGBT+ History Month, this talk will give an overview of the LGBTQ+ collection at St Fagans looking at how the collection has been developed over the past few years. It will also discuss how this collection is now being used in events and displays.
 
This session will be held in English.

Important Information

This Talk will be hosted as a Live Zoom Webinar. An email reminder containing the link to join the Webinar will be shared with you 24 hours prior to the talk. This link can also be accessed via your online Amgueddfa Cymru customer portal. Please check your junk/spam email inboxes to ensure you receive the emails and contact events@museumwales.ac.uk if you do not.

The webinar will be available to watch for 48 hours following the event and a link will be sent out to you via email.

Opening Hours

10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. 12 month season ticket available. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.

  • Water ponds and pools
  • Trip hazard on uneven paths and steps
  • Slippery surface paths, slopes and grassed areas
