If you’re a bat fan, then come along to St Fagans after-dark where we’ll go looking for some of the different species of bats that call the museum home.

  • Pre-booking is essential

  • Please book a ticket for each person who would like to come on the tour

  • Wear sensible clothing and footwear and bring a torch

  • The walk starts at the Main Entrance to the Museum and will be about 1 ½ hours long

  • Parking is free

  • Unfortunately, dogs cannot join the tour as they may disturb the bats

  • We suggest an age limit of 8+ as there is a lot of walking on the tour.

  • Accessibility:  This event is suitable for wheelchair users but some sections will use alternative routes. Please contact events@museumwales.ac.uk before booking if you would like to discuss any concerns.

  • This event will be delivered by bilingual facilitators (Welsh and English).

  • Please make sure you bring booking email with you

Opening Hours

10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
