Join us for informal drop-in crafting sessions at St Fagans. Learn a new skill, meet new people and gain inspiration from the Museums Collections. 

 

Monday September 18 

2pm-4pm

Weaving and traditional yarn crafts: Weave your own bookmark or try your hand at knitting and crochet. 

Greeting Cards: Create a series of colourful greetings cards inspired by our buildings and collections.

 

Tuesday September 19 

2pm-4pm

Weaving and traditional yarn crafts: Weave your own bookmark or try your hand at knitting and crochet.

Thursday September 21

2pm-4pm

Rag Rugs and Wet Felting: Make your own mini rag rug or have a go at wet felting.

 

Friday September 22 

10.30am-12.30pm

Eco Autumn Wreath Making: Make your own door wreath with natural materials. Try your hand at making your own cordage from natural fibres.

Opening Hours

Our opening hours are changing for the winter season.

From 4 November until 28 February 2025, we will be open 10am-4pm every day.

Opening hours will be different for our Christmas events – see the event pages on our website for details.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

You can plan your journey using the Traveline Cymru website or by calling their helpline on 0800 464 0000.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
