Join us for a free audio described tour for blind and partially sighted visitors, where we will take a walk through the open air museum and let the historic houses tell hidden stories of the people who once lived there, enjoying the sounds of nature as we stroll through the museum from one discovery to the next.

  • This tour will be Bilingual 
  • Age suitability: 18+
  • The session will last for approximately 2 hours.

1 ticket entitles you to bring an accompanying companion.

Meet the Blacksmith | 11:00am | 14/08/2025

This free tour for blind and partially sighted visitors will explore the Smithy and Gweithdy gallery at St Fagans through audio description. 

Visit St Fagans and meet our Blacksmith. Find out about the daily work of a blacksmith and learn all about metal work in the smithy at St Fagans, followed by a visit to the Gweithdy gallery where there will be opportunities to handle replica Iron Age tools made by our Blacksmith. 

  • This tour will be Bilingual
  • Age suitability: 18+
  • The session will last for approximately 2 hours.

Opening Hours

10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. 12 month season ticket available. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
