Join us in Gwalia Stores for a shopping experience from years gone by. Learn about how food was imported and stored, discover what people ate and the money they used in the 1920’s.

Bookable session times, 11am (English), 12pm (English), 2pm (Welsh), 3pm (English). (lasts approximately 30 minutes)

Drop ins welcome in between sessions. 

Outside of workshop times you will be able to pop into the shop to see the shopkeeper and view some of the objects from the collection.

  • Sessions are Pay What You Can with a minimum donation of £3. 
  • Maximum 15 people
  • Adult supervision is essential

Opening Hours

From 4 November until 28 February 2025, we will be open 10am-4pm every day.

Christmas and New Year: Closed from 2pm on 23 December. Closed 24 - 26 and 1 January. 

Closed 8 January 2025 for staff training. 

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
