Where better to celebrate St David’s Day than St Fagans National Museum of History?

Join us as we celebrate Wales’ special day with:

  • A chance to see a special collection of harps from Amgueddfa Cymru's store
  • Harp music in the Atrium
  • Acoustic performances in some of the historic buildings
  • Traditional folk dancing with Cwmni Dawns Werin Caerdydd
  • Photography project display by Jukebox Collective & Bleak Fabulous
  • Free family craft activities
  • Tasters of Welsh food & drink and an opportunity to meet some of the producers in our shops
  • Lambing season getting underway at Llwyn-yr-eos Farm

Please note: We expect to be busy and you may have to queue for a parking space.

10.30am-11pm: Harp music (Atrium)

11.30am-12pm: Harp music (Atrium)

12pm-12.30pm: Acoustic performance by The Gentle Good (Penrhiw Chapel)

1pm-1.30pm: Folk dancing (Kennixton Yard)

1.30pm-2pm: Acoustic performance by The Gentle Good (Penrhiw Chapel)

1.30pm-2pm: Harp music (Atrium)

2pm-2.30pm: Folk dancing (Kennixton Yard)

2.30pm-3pm: Harp music (Atrium)

3pm-3.30pm: Acoustic performance by The Gentle Good (Penrhiw Chapel)

3pm-3.30pm: Folk dancing (Kennixton Yard)

Plan your visit

Opening Hours

10am – 5pm daily (open Bank Holiday Mondays)

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. £30 yearly ticket in advance. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

You can plan your journey using the Traveline Cymru website or by calling their helpline on 0800 464 0000.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
