Event:Amgueddfa Cymru Producer Pride Workshop - Queer Badge & Flower Lino-Printing Workshop
To celebrate pride month this year, some of our amazing Amgueddfa Cymru Producers (ACPs) will be hosting Pride themed workshops across three of our museums this June.
"Badges have long been used for the creative expression of LGBT+ identity and Pride. You can see this in the badges worn by the members of the activist group LGSM (Lesbians and Gay Support the Miners) back in the 80's. For Pride month, we are exploring this heritage with two badge-making workshops at our museums. This workshop will explore queer solidarity and intersectional activism and is inspired by the museum's archives. Both events are free to attend - and you get to take home your badges at the end!"
- Kaja Brown (Amgueddfa Cymru Producer)
"Come along on Sunday in St Fagans where we’ll be running an engaging printmaking workshop, focusing on flowers and their integral part in queer history! Come along and make a card for a loved one, a piece of art for your home or leave with your own printed tote bag! We’ll facilitate a warm and welcoming environment for all ages, where you can express yourself, learn a little about our history, and celebrate Pride 2025! Happy Pride Month everyone!"
- Liz Bartlett (Amgueddfa Cymru Producer)
