St Fagans National Museum of History

St Fagans uses its collections to interpret life in Wales, during the past and in the present.This free tour for adult D/deaf visitors and users of BSL will take a walk through the open air museum, to learn about some of the buildings that have been moved to St Fagans and their significance in shaping Wales' industrial heritage. Join us as together we explore the famous iron worker terraced cottages from Rhyd y Car in Merthyr Tydfil, the nostalgic Prefab from Gabalfa in Cardiff and the iconic Oakdale Workmans Institute. 

The relaxed tour will be delivered in British Sign Language (BSL) by tour guide Emily Rose Corby.

This tours forms part of a series of BSL Tours that will be organised throughout the year. Keep an eye on the Museum's website for more information and future dates.

Caution: Due to the nature of the site, there is uneven ground, slippery paths, slopes and grassed areas in places. Please watch your step and wear suitable footwear.

Opening Hours

Winter Opening Hours

From Wednesday 29 October until Friday 13 February 2026, we will be open 10am-4pm every day.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety reasons, we reserve the right to conduct bag searches when entering the museum.

Admission is free, however a charge may apply for some exhibitions, events and activities.

Parking

If you are driving to St Fagans, you will have to pay for parking. The cost is £7 per day and can be paid by cash or card. FREE for disabled badge holders and motorbikes. 12 month season ticket available for £45. This charge is for parking only – entry to the Museum remains free.

Eat, drink, shop

  • Our cafes and restaurant will be open during your visit. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic to the Museum.
