Over the past weeks, submissions have poured in from every corner of the country, showcasing the creativity, curiosity and scientific insight of Wales’s next generation of communicators. Following a highly competitive heat round, the strongest entrants have earned their place in the Welsh Final, where they will step onto the stage to share their knowledge and expertise with the public.
Each finalist has just a few minutes to deliver an engaging, insightful and entertaining talk, judged on the core principles of Content, Clarity and Charisma. Expect surprising stories, big ideas distilled into bite‑sized brilliance, and a chance to see science communicated with passion, humour and imagination.
This collaborative event, in partnership with Cardiff University and Swansea University highlights the vibrancy and diversity of Wales’s research community and its commitment to building public engagement in science.
The stakes are high:
Members of the public are warmly invited to join us for this inspiring evening and play an active part in the event by voting for their favourite speaker.
Come and support Wales’s brightest communicators, celebrate science in all its forms
