Explore an AR world completing challenges and solving problems whilst learning about the areas of life that 5G can help to improve! As part of this workshop, you will get the chance to learn about the basics of communication and how this has quickly evolved in recent years. Test out multiple methods of communicating using light and sound and how 5G can improve on the previous mobile networks available to us. Following this, you will have the chance to explore an AR world through our iPads and complete fun challenges and games whilst learning exactly where 5G can help to improve our lives.

Opening Hours

From Monday 4 November until Friday 22 February 2025, we will be open 10am – 4pm every day.

Museum Closed: The museum will be closed Monday 6 January.

Parking

The National Waterfront Museum does not have a dedicated car park.

However, there are several pay and display car parks situated just a short walk from the Museum. You can find more information on car parking facilities here

Accessibility

  • Our café is open, but providing a limited offer. 
  • The Museum shop will be open during your visit.
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic , while there’s nowhere to eat these within the museum, there are benches around the marina outside which make for a nice spot.
