Event: GRAFT Supper Night
Join us at the GRAFT community garden on 8 September for a seasonal supper, cooked in the wood-fired oven, and using produce grown in the garden’s bountiful beds.
Don't miss out on this special evening of delicious food, fascinating discussions, live music and Botanical Bar with beautiful drinks and local ales
Shared Plate, our culinary community partner, will be cooking up the feast and bring us this special menu:
MENU:
- Greek style stuffed flatbread w/ spinach & feta (v)
- Whipped white bean dip w/ pickled daikon & fresh turmeric (vg/gf)
- Beetroot carpaccio with salsa verde (vg/gf)
- Slow cooked garden beans, courgette & red lentil ragu w/ goats cheese (v/ gf)
- Potato & confit tomato salad w/ fermented chili oil (vg/gf)
- Beetroot & chocolate torte w/ rhubarb & biscuit crumb (vg)
Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies as soon as you arrive. The food is made in a kitchen with nuts and seeds. Although every effort has been made to keep these separate, we cannot guarantee no traces in the food.
v = vegetarian / vg = vegan / gf = gluten free
And after we’ve had our fill, we’ve got amazing guests to lead us in discussion around the fire pit.
*Announcement*
Sadly, Sheila Dillon will not be able to join us at Swper GRAFT on Friday. We are very lucky that another amazing speaker, social artist & cultural activist Shelley Sacks, will take her place in conversation with Dee Woods and Owen Griffiths.
Over the last year, Natural Resources Wales has been holding a national conversation about the natural environment across Wales.
From these dialogues, themes and ideas emerged about what people would like to explore and see as part of a just and sustainable future.
This has included a new exhibition - Ways of Working, which will be on display for the night, with 9 new curated works from artists across Wales to respond to these themes.
Featuring Eddie Ladd, Sahar Saaki, Teulu Von Flap (Kath Ashill & James O'hAodha), Bedwyr Williams, Marva Jackson Lord, Tess Wood, Iestyn Tyne Hughes, Michal Iwanowski & Rebecca Wyn Kelly.
Tickets £15pp
(This event will come inside the Museum in bad weather)
