Event: Carers Rights Day 2024 at the National Wool Museum
This forms part of Amgueddfa Cymru’s Museums Inspiring Memories which is a three-year partnership project (2022 – 2025) with Alzheimer’s Society Cymru. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, it aims to use Amgueddfa Cymru’s collections and resources, to support the wellbeing of people affected by dementia.

The day will include:
A Guided tour of the National Wool Museum including demonstrations of the historic machinery by our craftpersons
Wet felting workshop
A performance from harpist, Delyth Jenkins
A light lunch will be provided. Please let us know of any dietary requirements by e-mailing: kate.evans@museumwales.ac.uk

Opening Hours
Our opening hours are changing for the winter season.
From Tuesday 5 November until 28 February 2025, we will be open Tuesday – Saturday between 10am – 4pm.
Eat, drink, shop
Our café serves a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. Please note that the museum café closes at 3pm. The Museum shop will be open during your visit. You are welcome to bring a picnic , while there’s nowhere to eat these within the museum, there are benches outside which make for a nice spot.

Please note that the car park gates will be locked at 5pm. So if your vehicle is still in the car park after 5pm, we hope you brought a sleeping bag!
