Course:Tataki zome – Flower pounding

Tataki zome or “flower pounding” is the art of carefully hammered flowers and leaves onto paper to capture their colours and shapes.  We will choose plants from the Museum Dye Garden to create unique greetings cards. You can also make some designs on fabric.

This fun, relaxed day is suitable for complete beginners. All equipment and materials and protective clothing will be supplied - please wear suitable clothing and closed shoes not sandals. You may also wish to bring a notebook and camera/phone.

  • All tickets for this event must be purchased in advance. 
  • This course takes place at National Wool Museum, Dre-fach Felindre, Llandysul, Carmarthenshire SA44 5UP. Use postcode SA44 5UP for satnav.
  • Age Restriction: 16+. (16-18 year olds must be accompanied by a participating adult)
  • This course will be held in English.
  • Our learning spaces are fully accessible. Please contact wool@museumwales.ac.uk before booking to discuss any accessibility requirements.
